AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY GAPING- ARCH NEMESIS VINCE

So a long time ago I was riding up the chairlift at Hunter and I saw a coworker walking down the hill with his board- not riding..... walking. He instantaneously became my arch nemesis.
His name is Vince.... and he should be scorned.

I bet this guy is called Vince- Killington

NEW YORK- SANY GOLD PASS
This pass is super cool. The way I understand it, the pass is good for one lift ticket a day at any of these New York hills. There are no blackout dates. I think you can also let a friend use it when you are stuck at work. What? Amazing. It's a G, that's crazy- you could split the pass with someone you hate- someone you never want to ride with and you could ride all season for $500! Here are the mountains for the SANY Gold pass: Hunter (http://elevatedlocals.blogspot.com/2011/01/hunter-mountain.html), Windham (http://www.windhammountain.com/?season=winter), Whiteface (http://www.whiteface.com/), Gore (http://www.goremountain.com/), Plattekill (http://www.plattekill.com/winter/), Tuxedo Ridge (http://www.tuxedoridge.com/), Belleayre (http://www.belleayre.com/), Thunder Ridge (http://thunderridgeski.com/), Mount Peter (http://mtpeter.com/), Catamount (http://www.catamountski.com/), West Mountain (http://www.skiwestmountain.com/), and Greek Peak (http://www.greekpeak.net/). This pass might also be good for all New York hills, but I only listed the ones on the poster. These passes are limited here is the link to buy- http://www.skiandrideny.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=17:iskiny-gold-pass&catid=1&Itemid=19 but you might want to call because there I'm not quite sure about the rules (315-696-6550).

BRIDGER BOWL- MT
Oh man, do I want to go to here; the stories I hear about this place make me drool. These season pass deals are good until 10/11/11. (https://store.bridgerbowl.com/passes/) A Season Pass is $580 (13 times to break even).  Or you can get a Ten Time Pass for $350 ($35 a ticket); this pass is non-transferable. A Midweek Pass is $375 (eight times to break even) and you can ski for $39 a day on the weekend. If you are a MSU student you can get a Student Ride Card for $30 and then get $39 tickets for the rest of the season. You could also get an Adult Legend Card for $35 and then get $39 tickets for the rest of the year.

MT HOOD- OR
MMMMMMMM- Hood. After 11/6/11 the Season pass goes up $500! Until then it is $499 (That is only seven days of riding to break even!).  A ten day pass is $379 ($38 a ticket). http://www.skihood.com/Store

Hunter Discounts

Amy Klein

Big Lift Card ($45) gets you half off during the week and 25% off weekends and holidays. If you don't have a car or any hook ups on the mountain, the bus from Homage (http://www.homagebrooklyn.com/) might be the best deal. It's $59 for the ride and ticket. Emilios (http://www.emiliosskishop.com/) and OvRride (http://ovrride.com/) will do transportation only ($40); Homage does not. Every other bus trip from the city to Hunter with a lift ticket seems to be around $80.

Hunter Mountain

Hunter is a cool little mountain. It's about two and a half hours from the city. It has a vert of 1600 feet. Little mountains grow real love though. If you grow up on a little mountain you have to be really creative. Some of the best riders I know grew up on little mountains.

Yuko and I had some great guides this trip. Yuri and Evan practically live on the hill and Paul grew up an hour away. Lots of our heads came up from the city; sometimes we were riding 13 deep. I dont know how i feel about that. It's so beautiful and fun when everyone gives each other space. Other times its like a dangerous pissing contest. It is pretty amazing to watch all your friends kill it down the hill, though. I found some crack in the woods.
