IT'S A CELEBRATION- 4TH OF JULY RIPPING

Sugar Bowl is open this 4th for pass holders only. It just snowed there, it's gonna be a party. (http://www.up0.net/functions/message_view.html?mid=1041859&mlid=20175&siteid=667082&uid=c615d1bbb0&hq_e=el&hq_m=1041859&hq_l=1&hq_v=c615d1bbb0)

Kirkwood is open July 2nd & 3rd for $35 (http://www.kirkwood.com/site/dish/ski-ride-or-bike-july-4th-weekend-0)

Squaw is open July 2nd-4th for $49 (http://www.squaw.com/july-4-skiing-riding)

Alpine Meadows is open July 2nd-4th for $39- but here's the deal- go to their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AlpineMeadowsSkiResort?ref=ts&sk=app_11007063052) and like them, the ticket prices will go down with more Facebook fans. If you like me (Elevated Locals) on Facebook my mom will bake you a cake.

A-basin is open July 1st-4th. Tickets are $39 and there is no beginner terrain open- invite the gapers. (http://www.arapahoebasin.com/ABasin/snow-conditions/summer-season.aspx)

Snowbird- You can stay the night and get a lift ticket for $85 this weekend if they have any rooms left (http://www.snowbird.com/lodging/hotdeals.php?deal=10). They are just open for the weekend, tickets are $49, but you can stay the night at Snowbird on the 4th for $59, they will give you pancakes, a bungy trampoline jump, and a mechanical bull ride. Sounds like a sweet hangover cure.

Mammoth is still $79, they are open July 2nd-4th, but you can mountain bike and golf with that pass too. (http://www.mammothmountain.com/ResortActivities/SpecialEvents/July4/).

Crystal is open July 2nd-4th for $35. (http://www.crystalmountainresort.com/)

DISCOUNTS- PASSES FOR NEXT YEAR AND SOME INSPIRING PHOTOS

Many season passes are cheaper during the summer.

Whiteface and Gore sell a joint season pass- non-holiday is $565 and full season is $720. This deal is good until the 21st of June.  A lift ticket to Whiteface is $57 so after ten times you are riding for free. When you have a season pass at these mountains you can get discounted tickets, tunes, and food. After the 21st of June prices go up. (http://www.whiteface.com/tickets/wf_season.php?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Whiteface+%2F+Gore+Season+Pass+Deadline+Approaching!&utm_campaign=2011)

Squaw has three different types of season passes. You can ride whenever you like with the Gold Season Pass. The Silver Season Pass does not allow you to ski: December 26-31, 2011, January 14-15, 2012, and February 18-19, 2012. The black out dates for the Bronze Season Pass are: December 26-31, 2011, January 14-15, 2012, February 18-19, 2012, and all Saturdays in January and February. The Gold is $699, the Silver is $499, and the Bronze is $399 until June 15th- then prices go up. A lift ticket at Squaw during the regular season is $86 so you ride for 8 days and then you are skiing for free with the Gold pass. (http://www.squaw.com/season-pass)

You can buy an Epic Pass through Breckenridge for $649. An Epic pass is named appropriately because it gives you unlimited days at Breck, Vail, Beaver Creek, A-basin, Keystone, Heavenly, and Northstar. Basically you should sell all your stuff and buy an Epic Pass. If you are a local you can get an Epic Pass for $499, but there are blackout dates. (http://www.breckenridge.com/plan-a-trip/season-passes/season-passes-explorer.aspx) Enter to win an Epic Pass (http://www.facebook.com/elisabethtoft#!/NorthstarAtTahoe)

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY GAPING- IN THE HALFPIPE AND AT THE GAME

GO GAPER GO!

That Jeter fan in the pink is a woman.
I don't know if she is gaping- I think she's just from Staten Island.
Anyway this woman could support a small country with the money she spends on hair gel

CONTESTS YOU CAN'T WIN

there seems to be a problem on 23rd st
You know those people that are like- "I never win anything. My life sucks. Whah, whah, whah, Everyone knows I used to be a man."

Well, I'm not like that- I win everything. I've won the lottery like, nine times. So here are some contests where you can win some things, but I wouldn't bother- cause I've already won.

In this contest you just have to add your information and you can win a trip to Jackson. This is really a contest for mountain bikers, but the tram is still running with access to the back country.
http://www.jacksonhole.com/jhbikeparkcontest.html

FAILE studio

The FAILE puzzlebox contest: You can upload your creations from  http://failepuzzleboxes.com/ or the FAILE ap. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/faile-puzzle-boxes/id437115432?mt=8&ls=1 on the FAILE facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Faile-Art/155532841180003?sk=wall). The winner receives a bunny boy sculpture.

The SASS "Why I Love My Home Mountain" Contest. Write a short essay about your home mountain and win snowboard gear- (http://www.facebook.com/SASSGlobalTravel?sk=app_205521576149308&utm_source=List&utm_campaign=c9ee3b9845-SASS_LateMay&utm_medium=email)

in Poland (Greenpoint) liquor and weapons are the same thing

DISCOUNTS FOR THE WEST- WHILE I SWEAT IN BROOKLYN- PLUS LETS LAUGH AT JERSEY

movers and shakers
Jackson has just reopened it's tram for back country skiing and riding. Um, awesome.
(http://pointofrelease.com/news/jackson-hole-tram-reopens-on-saturday-to-record-157-snowpack/) The tram will be open through June 17th and is free with proof of residency. I was born in Wyoming and was wondering if I could ride the tram for free with my birth certificate, so I called.  The answer is no- they are not impressed with my birth.

Bushwick summer- taken by Amy Klein
Squaw is still doing things- (Miss Hopperstad- I is jealous) with $49 tickets. (http://www.squaw.com/july-4-skiing-riding)

Crystal goes until the snow is gone! (http://www.crystalmountainresort.com/) Tickets are $35.

Snowbird is open Fri., Sat., Sun., and the 4th of July for $64 as long as the snow stays sweet. (http://www.snowbird.com/about/presscenter/4thofjulytshirt.html).

A-Basin will run until the 19th and see how things are going at that time. Tickets are $39. (http://www.arapahoebasin.com/ABasin/snow-conditions/summer-season.aspx)

Mammoth is also still pumping for full price.

Soon you will be able to watch the Giants, sky dive, ride a ferris wheel, and snowboard next to people sledding. Where will this magical place be? NEW JERSEY (http://visitmeadowlands.com/exciting/)

Alright have a lovely weekend and drivers please watch out for bikes. Dave- you'll be 100% in no time!
